6 Month Dog Reactivity Program
This program is designed specifically for dogs struggling with fear, anxiety, and reactivity toward people, dogs, or their environment. Unlike standard training packages, this is a structured, long-term program focused on creating meaningful, lasting behavior change—not temporary fixes. All major reactivity issues will only be addressed within this program.
Reactivity is not resolved in a handful of sessions. It requires consistency, guidance, and a clear progression over time. This program is built to provide that structure while supporting both the dog and the owner through each stage of the process.
We begin with a complimentary evaluation to fully understand your dog’s behavior, triggers, and history. From there, training progresses through clearly defined phases—starting with foundational obedience and relationship building, and advancing into behavior modification and real-world application.
Over the course of six months, we focus on:

Reducing fear-based responses through structured exposure and desensitization and counter conditioning

Developing confident, capable handling skills for the owner

Transitioning progress into everyday environments
This program includes weekly one-on-one sessions and ongoing guidance, with each phase tailored to your dog’s individual needs. You will always know what you’re working on and why.

Group Classes (at facility)
Dog and Puppy Obedience classes
A non-competitive activity open to all dogs including purebreds and mixed breeds, designed to get you and your dog off to a great start in your training journey. Classes are held within a structured environment and you will be given weekly assignments for you to work on at home.

Individualized one-on-one training with you and your dog.
Basic fundamentals of obedience, addressing behaviors such as jumping, counter surfing, leash pulling, or service dog work, our private lessons are targeted to address your specific needs on a more personal level. Fear and anxiety based reactivity (dog on dog, dog on people, or environmental triggers) is not addressed in private lessons and is only handled within the structured reactivity program at the top of the page. All clients begin with a complimentary evaluation during which I will determine which is the best fit for your dog.

A Dog Vacation with Training
Looking to give your dog a solid head start in training? We offer structured training plans from a 1-3 week stay with a professional trainer in an in-home environment.

Boarding (out of trainers home)
Vacation Plans and in need of a quiet and stress free place to board your dog? We have you covered. Set up your in-home boarding with A Touch of Class Training
Send your dog on a vacation of its own. Our boarding has limited spaces, therefore we can guarantee a quieter, less stress-inducing experience. During your dog's stay, we offer additional services that will make your dog feel like he's home and well cared for. Dogs have access to the home as well as a huge fenced-in outdoor space. Please note, all boarding is IN HOME, not at the facility. Fully insured.

Dog & Puppy Socialization
Drop your dog off for supervised play with other dogs. We specialize in puppy socialization and can help you socialize your young puppy, helping create a more balanced, playful mindset. Daycare days are limited in availability, our groups do not exceed 5 dogs at a time per day.

K9 Toss & Fetch
Have a dog that has a lot of drive?
We are a local group of disc and sport-loving dog owners that compete in K9 Toss & Fetch, a worldwide sport. Every season consists of 5 weeks, alternating between 60 and 90-second rounds. The game is easy, you throw, they catch and you collect as many points as possible till the time runs out. World rankings get posted on Fridays. We play on Sunday in Antioch, IL. Find us under Facebook Groups 'Phoenix Rising - Lake Villa Disc Dogs'. You do not need prior experience, we can teach you and your dog how to play. All ages and breeds are welcome.

We know life is busy, so let us help you get a head start on your training journey. Our NEW Day Training Program is designed to do just that. Drop off your dog for Training Monday - Friday for a day full of learning, and pick up a tired dog in the evening. Fridays are spent teaching you how to maintain what has been worked on. All programs are open to be paid in installments.

Puppy Program (2 Weeks - 3-6 months in age) - $1550
Lure Training, Loose Leash Walking, Place Training, Boundary Training (Doors), Crate Training, Confidence building, and Field trips to socialize outdoors.
For confidence building, we utilize tunnels, puzzles, exposure to different sounds and textures, as well as playtime with other dogs with matching play styles.
Regular Day Training Program (2 Weeks - 6 months and up in age) - $1750
Basic Obedience, Loose Leash Walking, Boundary Training (Doors), and Place Training. Stays are being worked in Duration and Distance, Recall, & Field Trips to Ace Hardware, Living Full Kombucha or nearby parks for outdoor exposure.
Extended Day Training (3 Weeks - 6 months and up in age) - $2175
Refinement and proofing of Basic Obedience, Loose Leash Walking, Place Training, Recall and Boundaries (Doors). Dogs are being worked with duration, distance, and distractions). Advanced field trips to Bass Pro Shops and other condensed places.
MasteryX Program (4 Weeks - 6 months and up in age) - $2700
Mastery of Basic Obedience, Loose Leash Walking, Place Training, Boundaries (Doors), and Recall. Continuation of Advanced Field Trips to shift focus onto outdoor work and impulse control and proofing of behaviors.
